#1 Our supplier default insurance
By making your reservation through African Safari Group, not only do you get the benefit of our significant expertise and top-quality service, you will also receive supplier default insurance. This insurance gives you peace of mind because it covers you in the (extremely unlikely) event that the supplier of any part of your holiday package becomes insolvent and can therefore no longer provide you with the services that you have booked and paid for. If you were to make your booking directly with the supplier (for example, the hotel, transport company or guide), you would not get this important safeguard.
#2 Payment Security
For added protection, all payments made by credit card use the MyGate payment gateway, which requires 3D Secure authentication – the most widely used fraud prevention technology in online payments, supported by Visa (Verified by Visa), Mastercard (SecureCode) and American Express (SafeKey).
3D Secure authentication allows shoppers to create and assign a password to their card that is then verified whenever a transaction is processed through a site that supports the use of the scheme. The addition of password protection allows extra security on transactions that are processed online. This gives our clients a single, seamless online payment process that is easy to use, super secure and convenient.
#3 Payment Options
- Credit card: We accept payment by Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Diners Club. Your payment is processed via a secure online payment gateway (see below).
- Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) / bank transfer: If you choose this payment method, we’ll send you our bank details and you can make a direct deposit into our South African bank account. Please note that it takes 5 working days for the funds to clear into our account, and booking is not guaranteed until the funds have cleared.
- Exchange4Free: If you’re making payment from outside of South Africa, we recommend that you use the online service Exchange4Free, which offers better exchange rates than your bank or credit card for international payments, and will give you an immediate quote on the exchange rate so that you won’t get any nasty surprises. Once again, please allow 5 days for the funds to clear into our bank account.
