Day to day itinerary

Gonarezhou Welcomes You

• Arrival at Harare International Airport
• Chartered flight to Gonarezhou National Park
• Game Drive to Chilo Gorge Safari Lodge

The Chilo Gorge Safari Lodge is built on the sandstone cliffs overlooking the Save River. With wood, straw and stone architecture, the lodge is constructed to suit the environment of baobab trees and thick bush outside. You can view the hippos and elephants from your campsite, in the river beneath, all day long.

Your game drive will be secluded and private, which gives you a better chance to spot the vicinity’s game. Here is where you get to see buffalo herds run wild, followed by troops of various predators on the chase.

Your surroundings here are filled with natural symphonies, especially when you wake up to the alarm of chirping birds at early dusk, as this magnificent terrain changes various colors of nature. Egrets are a popular bird within this area, and you get to see them feed on insects.

Days 5-6

The Elephant Lodge is built close enough to the Victoria Falls for you to see the worlds famous water sprays that look like smoke and listen to the waterfall as if it were loud thunders. Elephants are more popular in this region, and the camp takes care of the injured or abandoned elephants. You have a great opportunity to interact and feed these enormous beasts of nature. Days 7-8
Experience Hwange

The Hwange National Park offers you a diverse experience exploring various habitats around the year. Many species are residents of this place, and you are never short of the game in this region.

You are bound to encounter elephants, giraffes, zebras, and impalas. Be careful as these plant-munching and grass-grazing animals are not the only ones in the region, big cats and other carnivores also lurk in silence looking to hunt for meat.

Days 9-11

Mana Pools Mysteries

In this valley between cliffs, is where Ruckomechi Camp located on a river bank. What makes this experience unique, is the refreshing nature of the forest blended with luxury provided inside the camp lodge.

Game drives across floodplains are what you are offered, where you encounter hippos, crocodiles, and elephants either in or at the banks of the river. While the river seems interesting to try looking over, you will find African Fish Eagles hovering over the river.

The woodlands, however, are occupied by the big cats like lions and leopards followed by their competitor the hyena. Even then wild dogs give you a stimulating adventure of the wood. This place is a heaven if you enjoy wildlife or want to relax in the nature.

Day 12
Leaving Zimbabwe
