We will make sure you and your family feel and gain utmost exhilaration of Big 5 safari that we have arranged for them at the amazing Phinda Game Reserve. Spend your days going on fabulous game viewing and bird watching drives. We have also arranged specifically designed, educational safari programs for your children. On your fifth day of your trip, you and your family will fly off for a beach holiday to the beautiful and spectacular Mauritius for a week filled with fun watersports. We have also arranged a kids club under the supervision of a professional child care personnel, who will keep your younger ones entertained with many activities.

Day to day itinerary

Day 1

Start your journey at Phinda

Once you have reached the city of Durban, take your rental car and drive up the KwaZulu-Natal coast to the Phinda Mountain Lodge in the Phinda Game Reserve. Make sure to keep your eyes out for the sugar cane plantations on the way.

Here, you and your family will be given a warm welcome by the staff. They will help you get settled in your room. Phinda Mountain Lodge is well suited for families with young children as it is the largest of all the camps in Phinda. The best part about this lodge is that they have a specific kids area that which is specially geared towards providing your kids fun-filled yet educational activities.

Days 2-4

Enjoy amazing safaris

African Safari is a once in a lifetime opportunity for your children as they learn all about the animals and plants found in Phinda. A huge range of thrilling activities like a bug hunt, a bark-rubbing excursion, and a lesson in making recycled paper is planned for your kids. Don’t worry, as they will be under a watchful eye and you can enjoy your trip without worrying about the kids.

Game drives with parents and children are arranged for you to experience all the thrill and spend quality time with the family. End your day with a delicious dinner in the dining area and a campfire to roast marshmallows with your kids.

Day 5

Fly to sunny Mauritius

It’s now time for you to drive to King Shaka International Airport, drop your rented car and catch your flight to Mauritius.

Upon your arrival to this tropical heaven island, we have arranged your stay at the LUX* Belle Mare. A refined resort set on a lagoon, you will have the time of your life swimming in their gigantic swimming pool, or you can spend your days getting special treatments in their spacious spa. You can also find various clubs specifically designed for children and teenagers.

Days 6-11

Enjoy family fun under the Sun

Enjoy your next five days at your ease by choosing from some of our amazing activities; windsurfing, sailing, or scuba diving in the clear waters of a sunny beach. For those who prefer for land activities, facilities like tennis, yoga and mountain biking are available for your perusal. To provide you ease and comfort, a babysitting service is also available so that you can relax and unwind lighthearted.

Keeping in mind, that you and your children might not be familiar with the African dishes, the restaurants here will be serving the Asian cuisine along with their customary Mauritian dishes to make you familiar with African taste.

Day 12

End your journey

Your trip will end by transferring you to the Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport, where you board your outbound flight for your journey home.
