Day to day itinerary

Day 1
Kenya says hello

  • Arrival in Kenya, Jomo Kenyatta International Airport
  • Transfer to Wilson airport
  • Flight to Masai Mara, Natural Reserve
  • Two nights stay at Bateleur Camp, Masai Mara Natural Reserve

 

Masai Mara is the place where the amazing ‘Great Migration’ of over a million wildebeest, zebra and others takes place every year, followed by predators from both water and land. You can still find many of these animals that stay back even after the season. Only at a distance from this migration is your camp set up, providing you an environment of adventure and nature, while the interior provides you with comfort and luxury so that you areable to enjoy your adventures to its fullest.

 

Day 2
Entering the Mara

Your wonderful camp has its setting on the western side of the Mara. Your adventures here will be full of nature with beautiful plains of green, and the best of exploration happening on vehicle drives in search of game.  Plenty of game is available in this region including some of the rare species like the cheetah, roan antelope and the bat-eared foxes. You come across herds of gazelle, wildebeest, and zebra. The Mara Plains are the best to encounter the Big 5 of the African region. With about 60 raptor species, this region also holds over 470 species of birds. Most encountered birds here are vultures, secretary birds, African pygmy falcons and marabou storks. The lilac-breasted roller which is Kenya’s national bird can also be found in this region.

 

Day 3
Tanzanian Adventure

Hemingway is perhaps the loveliest place in Africa. Your comfortable and sober lodge is located in a historic mahogany forest. Apart from the nature adventures, this place commits to a highly relaxing massage within their spa.

 

Day 4
Lake Manyara Spells

What you find here are blue monkeys jumping from the tress of a healthy forest as the hornbills honk. The lakes are filled with a swarm of flamingos, while the woodland of acacia is the home to the Africa’s agile elephants and the little Kirk’s dik-dik. The famous tree-climbing lions of Africa are also a resident of these woodlands, while mongoose are common to be found here. Bird watchers have an exciting time here with over 400 bird species recorded within this area, especially water birds along with pelicans and storks. You are offered vehicle safaris, on-feet expeditions and even mountain bike safaris within this region. Expert guides take you to night drives, and if you’re lucky, you get to spot bat-eared foxes and aardvarks.

Day 5
Crater; A wildlife paradise

A beautiful natural crater, created by an ancient volcanic eruption, Ngorongoro is a heaven for wildlife. With healthy vegetation and grazing ground, this place is a miracle as it supports many herbivores which gives way for plenty of carnivores to thrive in this region as they have a great menu to select from. Your lodge is highly comfortable and lavish, providing you with a great view of the crater.

 

Day 6
Experience Ngorongoro Crater

The grasslands of Ngorongoro crater support a massive population of wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, and elands. Elephants, buffalo and mountain bucks also seek refuge in this place. This influences a heavy population of lions, hyena, cheetah, leopards and wild dogs within this region. Picnics on the grassland with the surrounding filled with herds grazing from them is a great way to start exploring the crater, apart from amazing game drives offered within this area.

 

Days 7-8
Tales of Serengeti

  • Flight to Siringitu, Masai
  • Game drive through Serengeti National Park
  • Two nights stay at Serengeti Under Canvas Camp

 

Your camp is set up in the first-ever game reserve of Tanzania, which is also a natural migration corridor of an ancient oldest ecosystem. The climate, plants, and flora in this region have stayed the same for centuries. During migration periods you will witness herds of gazelle, zebra and over a million wildebeest migrate through this corridor, unmoved by any circumstances. You can witness this beautiful migration only a short distance from your camp. On your game drives, you will encounter plenty of on land and water predators who chase or wait for these passing herds. Crocodiles in the rivers are common. The must take hot air balloon ride here is a wonderful experience at dawn as you take a bird’s eye view of the entire land.

 

Day 9
Goodbye Africa
