Tortilis Camp is situated at the borders of Amboseli National Park within its private wildlife concession. It is most famous for its exclusive service and spectacular overviews of Kilimanjaro and Meru Mountains. The Camp offers a range of activities including game drives and walking safaris. You have access to the local community village where you can interact with students and individuals learning more about their lifestyles and cultures. The camp offers an extensive number of facilities within itself to make your stay comfortable. You can also avail birdwatching expeditions here and visit the Amboseli Elephant Research Centre to learn about elephant preservation.

Tortilis Camp is equipped with a swimming pool which has relaxers and changing rooms. The camp also has a bar set up next to the pool where you can enjoy your drinks relaxing by the pool. Both hot and cold water is available, and the camp has Wi-Fi access throughout the facility. The camp is completely eco-friendly and uses solar power to generate electricity.

Dining

The Camp charms its guests with its food. Fresh herbs that are used are grown within the camp’s garden, and northern Italian cuisine is a specialty at this camp. Breakfast and lunch are served as buffets while dinner is cooked in order. Spaghetti bolognese, lasagna, fresh perch, pizza, chocolate roulade and seared beef fillets are a few of the dishes on the menu. Filtered water is used throughout the camp including the water used for ice. Snacks are prepared for guests to take to game drives, and you can taste their exclusive honey which is part of the menu and produced freshly at the camp.

Safari Tent

The Safari Tent offers a bedroom, dressing area and a bathroom. It is equipped with a king size bed or twin beds, and the bathrooms have hot showers which have proper pressurized water and toilets with a flush. Each tent has its private veranda too.

 

Family Tent

The Family Tent is also equipped with a swimming pool in addition to the luxuries of the Safari Tents. The swimming pool area has a private lounge along with sunbeds. This house also offers an expanded view of the Mount Kilimanjaro making it more exciting.
