Overview

The Palace of the Lost City is located within the Sun City close to Johannesburg. It is surrounded by Pilanesberg Mountains and lush grasslands. This resort is also a premier hotel within the resort complex of the city. It is best for stopping over before or after a safari vacation.

The hotel welcomes its guests with a statue of one of the Kruger National Park’s largest tusked elephant named Shawu. It is near to the main attractions around including the valley of waves. The valley of waves is an artificially installed wave pool and beach in the middle of a forest.

There is an exciting golf course nearby for enthusiasts and the resort itself has massive jungle gardens. The activities here include, horse riding, hot-air-ballooning and mountain biking, while sports from volleyball, water sports, tennis and squash are accessible.

Dining

The dining experience within The Palace is an exclusive thrill. Guests can choose from a number of different restaurants within the hotel which include Plume: The Grillroom, Pool Deck Restaurant, Pool Cocktail Bar, Palm Court Lounge, Tusk Bar and Lounge and Crystal Court. Each one offers fine dining and snack options.

Rooms

Superior Luxury Family Room

The Superior Luxury Family rooms are equipped with king size beds and a convertible sofa within the bedrooms, while it has a separate dining area and a lounge area.  The suite has two bathrooms, the en-suite bathroom is a lavish experience, while the guest bathroom of the room also provides a shower.

Luxury Twin Room

The Luxury Twin Room equips itself with an en-suite bathroom, minibar, digital safe, satellite television, air-conditioning, internet and room service during any time of the day. The bathrooms are equipped with a bathtub and shower. The bedrooms hold twin beds.

Junior Suite

Junior Suites offer luxury and comfort the same as Superior rooms, but they feature an honor bar which is not included in Superior rooms.

King Suite

The King Suite is an extensively lavish option within the hotel. There are only four of these suites within the resort. Each suite has two bedrooms and is equipped with a sauna, Jacuzzi and kitchenettes. The suite has a private library and bathrooms are marble floored.

In addition there are also wheelchair friendly rooms available for special requests and the resort also offers seven rooms that can connect together to build one suite.

• Superior Luxury Rooms are fitted with a king-sized bed and a curved sofa.
• Superior Luxury Pool-facing Rooms have a king-sized bed and views over the Grand Pool.
• Junior Suites are fitted with a king-sized bed and convertible couch, as well as honour bars in the bedroom and lounge and have views of the garden and a guest toilet.
• Ground-floor Superior Suites face the Grand Pool while those on the upper floors face the Lost City Golf Course.
• All Superior Suites have king-sized bed with en suite bathroom, separate lounge with dining area for four and a guest bathroom with a shower.
• There are four Presidential Suites that span up to 250m² each and are fitted with two bedrooms and extras such as Jacuzzis, saunas, libraries, kitchenettes and marble bathrooms.
