Roho ya Selous is situated at the Selous Game Reserve that offers picturesque views. The name ‘Roho ya Selous‘, translates as ‘Heart of the Selous’ and it lives up to its name. It is at a walking distance from the Manze and Nzerakera Lake, which is a splendid place to witness buffaloes, elephants and hippos playing in the water. You also get to see a mix of bird life along with crocodiles here, as well as the rare wild dog, leopards and lions. This camp is constructed in an ecofriendly approach, and offers extraordinary game drives, fishing trips, nature walks and river safaris.

Roho ya Selous is a modest yet comfortable camp, providing an authentic safari experience to guests. The camp has a lounge for guests to relax, a bar, and both, an indoor and outdoor dining. Suites have electric sockets and charging ports, guests are also offered complementary laundry and Wi-Fi. The camp mainly uses solar power but is also equipped with a backup generator, incase the panels give out at any time.

Dining
The Roho ya Selous has housed some of the finest chefs. They prepare delicious meals for you to relinquish your time here. You are served tea or coffee as you choose, early in the morning along with your wake-up call and this is followed by a buffet style breakfast. Lunch is also served in a buffet style and is usually light. Salads and vegetables are the main course of lunch.
Hi-teas are served from mid to late afternoon along with freshly baked cake to enjoy sunsets in the forest. A three-course dinner is served both indoors and outdoors under a candlelight dining setting.

The Roho Ya Selous offers eight tents, each having its own verandah. Guests enjoy remarkable views of the forests and rivers surrounding this camp. The tent is decorated with natural materials and contrasting colors with facilities such as, air-conditioner, in-suite bathroom, and showers both indoors and outdoors. Toiletries are complementary by the camp.
Other Rooms
Roho Ya Selous has only one family suite. This suite incorporates all the facilities of the tent, with an additional space for families. With limited groups being entertained, highest level of satisfactory service can be expected.
