Overview
Okahirongo Elephant Lodge is located within the Purros Conservancy in Kakoland area. It is an incredibly remote endpoint in Namibia. This area of Africa is home to the Himba people and offers to view the only desert-adapted elephants of the world. The lodge and cottages are designed and decorated with great enthusiasm and provide a rich and sensational ambiance.
The furnishing is carefully selected with delicacy and care to make the guests feel special. Nature views of the river bed and the desert wilderness are splendid from the lodge making it a one of a kind experience. Game drives, wildlife trekking and other safari activities are common here. You also experience close encounters with the desert-adapted lions here, which are being tried to be preserved by the Desert Lion Project close to the Elephant Lodge. The lodge is constructed incredibly with walkways of wood connecting the entire lodge. The lodge has lounge areas which are open sided to allow nature and game viewing, dining area which are breezy and a library with books and information about African culture, society and heritage. Dining
Okahirongo Elephant Lodge is a unique dining experience with a different menu every day. The lodge’s specialty cuisines are African and Italian fusion dishes which are all prepared with fresh ingredients grown in the lodge’s private organic garden. The dinner experience has many possibilities and options. Guests can choose to dine within the main dining area or choose they may choose to take their meals at the outdoor terrace by the swimming pool. Alternatively a campfire can be lit out in the open where guests may choose to eat under the stars in a traditional African setting.

Presidential Suite
Presidential Suites hold a spacious and luxurious environment. It equips itself with two en-suite bedrooms, a central lounge area, a private viewing deck and dramatic views of the gazebo. The suites ensure guests receive luxury and comfort.
Standard Room
The standard rooms hold seven chalets are ensuring privacy for guests at the accommodation. They are all equipped with a private gazebo which has its own queen size day bed, large en-suite bathrooms which have their own bathtubs and showers indoors and outdoors, and spectacular views at any time of the day. The bathrooms are in a separate hut which is connected to the room with a wooden walkway outside.
