Overview
Nkwali Camp is located within the South Luangwa National Park set by the forest of ebony trees. It provides close wildlife encounters with elephants, hippos, giraffes and leopards who are residents of the wild around the camp. The surroundings of the camp are home to over four hundred species of birds providing excellent accommodation for bird enthusiasts. This camp provides guests with unique game drives, safari walks and bird trekking adventures lead by expert guides who educate guests along the way.
Guests can also avail night drives within the park which is offered by the camp. Another exciting expedition the camp offers is river cruises in swamp boats. The camp is an ideal place for families to experience a safari and it is perfectly safe for children to go on game drives with parents. The camp provides a specialized staff who engages children within their own activities, which include games, puzzles and quizzes. Children also enjoy going to the Kawaza school visit trip where they can interact and make friends with children from Zambia.

This incredible lodge camp is equipped with a main communal area which is open sided, providing an airy environment. The communal area has comfortable seating and incorporates a small library within it. The outside area is occupied by a viewing deck with a wonderful campfire which is a popular place for guests to sit and interact with each other. The bar of this camp is located right next to the deck, and the camp also provides for its own swimming pool. The dining area overlooks the magnificent lagoon where animals can be viewed often. The camp offers massage therapies and rejuvenating treatments for guests to enjoy at their fullest.

Dining
The dining room is a straw-roofed traditional architecture camp lodge which overlooks the lagoon. Breakfast and lunch are served as buffets and brunch are also available in the same fashion for people who would like a late breakfast or an early lunch. Dinner is more popular outside in lantern lights, and is usually served near the river. The Nkwali bar is located right on the river bank and is built around a gigantic tree. The bar exclusively blends itself with the environment as it overviews the Luangwa River where elephant sightings are common. The overall experience of dining gives guests an experience to feast with the wild.

All chalets at the Nkwali Camp overlook the river. The overall residential area is made up of six chalets which provide an incredible environment for privacy for guests. The chalets blend within the environment of their surroundings with bamboo, stone and straw architecture. During daytime, these chalets can be completely opened up to provide spectacular game viewing from the chalets themselves. Chalets also provide for separate sitting areas. Each chalet is equipped with an en-suite bathroom that has a partial opening allowing sunlight to pass through in the day and for you to view stars during the night time.

There is a cottage at Nkwali, which is best for guests with children or groups. The cottage features a double room and a twin room. The rooms have an adjoining bathroom between them and it provides an ideal setting for a family.
