Day and night safaris offer exciting encounters with the wildlife of the region, which is abundant throughout the year. An exquisite view of the river is framed by your private lanai and often includes animals making their daily journey to drink fresh water from the kwai. Featuring 10 luxurious tents with seating and dining areas, Machaba offers a quiet and an intimate atmosphere overlooking the Khwai River in the Okavango Delta.

 

The secluded swimming pool is an ideal place to spend the afternoon nap between morning and afternoon safaris. Relax in an armchair with a library book and a great cold drink at the bar. It is a dream scene: a delightful sun, birds chirping in the trees and timid antelopes that pass through the dense forests.

 

For avid photographers, Machaba has a great view of the river. with easy navigation, leaving you free to photograph the abundant wildlife and flora to your liking.

Dining

The day begins with a freshly prepared coffee or a cup of steaming tea delivered to your tent and a delicious light breakfast served in the dining tent before your morning adventure. When returning from your exhilarating excursion, a generous morning bouquet awaits you.

 

After a quiet nap, a tea is served, consisting of a seductive selection of delicacies to fortify you during the exciting afternoon meetings.

 

The evenings are dedicated to cocktails before dinner around the fire, followed by a delicious three course meal served with candlelight.

Luxury Tent

 

Eight beautifully curved tents are connected by a path that winds under shady trees to the main building. Elegantly decorated with a charming African-inspired decor, large gauze windows allow the cool breeze to refresh the interior while keeping the mosquitoes out. A large bathroom has a double sink, a toilet with shower and a hot shower. Your private veranda provides an undisturbed view of the passing wildlife.

 

Machaba has two double family tents, each with a central living room and a shared bathroom. These tents are ideal for families with small children.
