Located in the remote south-eastern sector of Tanzania’s Tarangire National Park, Little Oliver’s Camp is set downstream from its famous sister, Oliver’s Camp.
This intimate and exclusive camp overlooks a floodplain of the Minyonyo Pools that form part of the Tarangire River system, and provides safari and wildlife enthusiasts the perfect location from which to enjoy every facet of this incredible ecosystem.
This uncrowded sector of the park boasts habitats ranging from open grassland to forests of ancient baobabs, and is home to large herds of buffalo and elephant as well as a substantial population of big cats. Game drives and walks with highly skilled guides give you the opportunity to enjoy thrilling wildlife encounters in a region that is known not only for its abundance of game but also for its ruggedly beautiful landscapes, making it a paradise for photographers.

The large mess building at Little Oliver’s Camp is beautifully crafted from timber and thatch, and quirky décor features include sculptural elements made from a reclaimed sailing dhow.
The building houses an elegantly furnished dining area and lounge that leads out onto the front decking terrace, which in turn leads down to the fireplace, where many evenings are spent in languid conversations while gazing at the glittering canopy of stars.

Dining
Your meals at Little Oliver’s are of an exceptional standard, prepared with loving care from the freshest ingredients possible. From an early morning pot of freshly brewed coffee delivered to your door for you to enjoy in bed before your dawn game drive to elaborate 3-course dinners in a variety of candlelit locations, you can expect every meal to be an occasion, always served with grace and charm by the attentive staff.
Rooms
Each of the five spacious tented suites is sited for privacy and to maximise the views. Built under a thatch roof on raised timber decking, they feature an outside verandah sitting area that leads into the main bedroom. Tastefully furnished in an East African safari style, the spacious interiors feature a large comfortable bed, a writing desk and plenty of storage space.
The en suite bathrooms have basins and flush toilets as well as indoor and outdoor bucket showers, which are filled with hot water by the staff. Electric fans and large gauze windows allow for the passage of cooling breezes, and there are electrical sockets to charge your camera batteries and other gadgets.
