Overview
Located on a 650-hectare private game farm on the far-off outskirts of Lusaka, Lilayi offers a wonderfully relaxing safari experience with the ambience of a luxury boutique hotel.
The farm has been well stocked with most of Zambia’s antelope, including some of the less common species like roan, sable, Defassa waterbuck, tsessebe and giraffe, and boasts around 300 species of birds.
Activities include game drives, safari walks, mountain biking and horse rides, and a visit to the nearby Elephant Nursery is one of the highlights of the area. Here you are able to observe the antics of the young pachyderm residents from a viewing platform above their enclosure.

The restaurant at Lilayi offers a tantalising fusion of African-inspired contemporary cuisine, using fresh produce from their organic vegetable and herb garden as well as game meats from the farm.
Coupled with the offerings from their sensational wine cellar, the dining experience at Lilayi is one of the best around Lusaka.
Rooms
Lilayi has a dozen beautifully furnished suites – consisting of 10 Deluxe Chalets and two Family Chalets – which are made of locally fired bricks and thatch. The open-plan bedrooms boast enormous king-sized 4-poster beds elegantly draped in mosquito netting with overhead fans.
The lounges face large bay windows that open out onto wooden decks and verandahs with additional seating areas. The bathrooms boast deep limestone ‘soaker’ tubs and spacious showers.
Wi-Fi and an LED television ensure you are kept entertained and up-to-date, while a mini bar and coffee station ensure you always have a refreshing drink to hand.
