The Tasting Room has made the list of the World’s 50 Best Restaurants and was voted the Best Restaurant in Africa & the Middle East in 2011.

It is also a regular winner of South Africa’s Eat Out Restaurant Awards. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in The Living Room that specialises in South African tapas dishes, snacks and light meals. Under chef Margot Janse, who also runs The Tasting Room, the food here is always excellent.

All the stylishly comfortable en suite rooms at Le Quartier Francais are individually decorated in luxurious fabrics and furnishings.

Other Room Types

The double-volume Grande Rooms make for striking accommodation. Everything from the bed size to window length adds to their sumptuous appearance and these rooms are ideal for honeymoon couples as each is perfectly appointed with every expected luxury amenity.

The Petite Garden Suites look out onto their own secret corner of the garden and feature large doors that spill open onto your private patio.

Alternatively, the spacious Pool and House Suites open onto a private walled garden with a private swimming pool. Ideal for families, these suites include loft sections for children with Wi-Fi gaming consoles.

Each suite has two bathrooms with separate tubs and showers. One is wheelchair-friendly with a large shower and wheelchair-accessible bathroom.
The Four Quarter Suites are especially spacious and boast separate bedrooms, dressing rooms and lounge areas, each beautifully decorated with the best furnishings, fabrics and local artworks.
