Kariega River Lodge is a luxurious thatched-roof lodge on the shores of the Bushman’s River in the Kariega Nature Reserve on the Eastern Cape. This relaxing and private lodge offers spectacular views of the river and offers fine dining, first-class comfort and a true safari experience in a malaria-free area.
Kariega is rich in wildlife, and the lodge offers early morning and afternoon / early safaris and river cruises with experienced guides. It is a Big five country, and the reserve has a large list of birds and many other classic African mammals. Kariega River Lodge also offers many hiking trails, mountain bike tours and canoe rides on the river. It is a 15-minute drive from the coast and from Kenton-on-Sea, where you can drive on a white sandy beach.
