Kadizora Camp

Overview

Set in the northern reaches of the Okavango Delta, Kadizora Camp has a major location among the savannah floodplains, lagoons and waterways that are distinguished as one of Africa’s most beautiful landmarks and the world’s largest inland delta. Sandwiched between the Vumbura River and the Selinda Spillway, the camp is reachable only by light aircraft and has access to both river systems, which can be explored by boat or canoe. Head out for a sunset cruise and see baby elephants swimming with just their trunks visible, or listen to the gurgling of hippos as they prepare to emerge from the river for the night. Back at the camp, spend the remaining of your evening reliving the enthusiasm of the day, and discuss with your zealous guide over a home-cooked meal. On your morning safari, you will head out on a game drive to track lions, leopards, cheetahs, wild dogs, hyenas, giraffes, zebras and more. The diverse landscape allows you to experience semi-desert sands, dense Mopani woodlands as well as marshy floodplains. Kadizora Camp offers a good selection of activities. Classic game drives are complemented by guided nature walks, and after dark, you can track nocturnal creatures on a night drive. Kadizora is one of the only places in the Delta where you can take pleasure in a hot-air balloon ride, have facilitated visits to the local village so you can connect to the culture of this incredible landscape. Water-based activities include canoeing in traditional mekoro, boating and birding.
