Overview

Savuti Lodge is located east of the Savuti Channel, in the hills that dominate a large golden savannah and waterhole, and is ideally located for exploring this famous Chobe National Park game. The lodge is rustic to replicate the landscape and looks like an adult tree house. It works exclusively with solar power energy and therefore has a very low carbon footprint.

Located in the heart of Botswana’s “Predator Capital”, the lodge offers guests the chance to sit comfortably and watch the animals come for a drink in the field. Photographers may want to see the hide up close. Savuti is best known for its large elephant population during the dry season and is an important corridor for thousands of zebras during the summer season. No one wondered that Savuti has a reputation for dramatic action as all the big cats are present, as well as the large flocks of spotted hyenas, and wild dogs. Twice daily safari with experienced guides reveals the wonders and day trips to explore the remote areas, which can be easily organized.

Facilities

The main lodge is built from wood and thatch and seems to grow out of the hills. The teak decks and high lime ceilings create a feeling of space between the living room, the bar and the dining room, which is perfect for finding birds above the treetops. A staircase leads to a cozy fireplace where you can watch the falling stars on a crystal clear Savuti night. On the side, a secluded swimming pool has sun loungers that are scattered around it. The ambiance is just perfect for a lazy afternoon sleep.

Dining

A delicious and an exclusive menu ensures that you don’t starve to death in Ghoha Hills Savuti lodge. The morning buffet breakfast offers a variety of fresh muffins, sweets, cereals, yogurts and fresh fruit. In the morning, you can also get homemade tea and biscuits (or take a basket to make a packed lunch). On your return, a delicious hot and cold brunch will satisfy your appetite. A late afternoon snack is also served before the afternoon safari and ends at the sunset with some fresh drinks and delicious snacks. The evenings are dedicated to a friendly conversation in front of the fireplace, before a delicious three-course meal i.e. served in the dining room, accompanied by a selection of satisfying wines.

Standard Room

Each spacious, elegantly appointed suite rests on a raised wooden platform to maximize mesmerizing views. Comfortable beds and a lounge provide plenty of space to relax. A sofa bed on the front porch is the perfect spot to watch the waterhole. Large windows are protected by mosquito netting to prevent nasty insects coming in and only leaving room for the refreshing breeze. The private bathrooms have a toilet, a shower cabin, and free toiletries.
