Dining

The in-house restaurant at Franschhoek Country House and Villas is the Monneaux Restaurant, ranking among South Africa’s top restaurants and serving only the most excellent gourmet delicacies.

Lunch is served on the fountain patio underneath the pepper tree, while dinner is served in the well-designed, but calm dining room in the innovative manor house. Meals are a contemporary take on the classics and are paired with a fine selection of wines.

For a more personal experience, you can have your meals in the underground cellar while enjoying the cherished feeling after browsing through the remarkable selection of local and foreign wines.

Villa Suite

The Villa Suites are planned for the most discerning visitors and are known to be some of the finest suites on offer in the Wine lands. Get satisfaction from opulence and space in a peaceful country setting as each villa has a roomy lounge, in-room dining facility, fireplace, air conditioning, DVD player, and music. The lounge leads out onto a big personal balcony with loungers where you can unwind and take pleasure in the gardens and views. The divided bedroom has a bathroom with stand-alone bath, separate shower, bidet and double basins with granite tops. The upstairs bedroom leads out onto a second balcony.

Luxury Room

The Luxury Rooms feature all the amenities of the Standard Rooms, but also offer a lounge area inside the room, as well as a fireplace and under-carpet heating. These rooms are built slightly apart from the manor house and offer a private patio or balcony so you can enjoy the views of the fountains and lavender gardens.

Standard Room

The original manor house, dating back to 1890, is still used to lodge guests, and even the newer structures keep the standard grace and attraction of the manor house. All rooms do, however, boast modern, luxurious amenities. The 14 Standard Rooms are situated in the creative manor house and each has an undersized lounge area with a confidential balcony from which tourists enjoy stunning garden views. Each room is individually selected and features a flat screen LED satellite television, minibar, air conditioning and a roomy en-suite bathroom.

Garden Cottage

The Garden Cottages are perfect for visitors with little children. The downstairs bedroom has an en-suite bathroom and a personal patio while the upstairs area has a roomy lounge with a fold-out bed. These rooms also offer a balcony with a view over the surrounding vineyards.
