Millions of years ago, a prehistoric volcano in the Erongo Mountains in Namibia created a crater complex. Today, this area is dotted with dazzling granite boulders that are of impressive size and astonishing age.
The Erongo Mountain Lodge is fully-equipped in this huge game of Geological Globe 10, and two family suites offer tents that offer clean air, spectacular views, mesmerizing rock paintings and peaceful San pitstop on the way to or from Etosha National Park.
Hikers and walkers alike will be spoiled for choice: there are three guided hikes where experts take a fascinating exploration of this unusual desert and other self-guided trails that lead you through these majestic rocks.
The spacious cottages are carefully designed to recapture the landscape, with spacious terraces to enjoy the forest every morning, and shower cabins in the rooms with bathrooms. It is rare to say that you have found a place where you wish to time stops.

Dining
Breakfast, afternoon tea, and dinner are also included and tasted around the roaring central fireplace in winter and on the summer terrace. Breakfast and afternoon tea are usually offered with freshly baked cakes, bread, and pastries.
The family tent has a private dining room and lounge along with the views of an outdoor fireplace and BBQ area. Erongo staff will be happy to serve fresh salads and meat so you can enjoy a traditional barbecue according to your own preference.
