The Engagi Lodge is located in the border area of ​​the beautiful Bwindi National Park in Uganda and offers not only a breathtaking view of the forest but also has a low environmental impact in the surrounding areas.

Built with local materials from members of the surrounding communities, Engagi blends with its surrounding areas and offers a naturally rustic atmosphere that completes the beautiful forest.

Explore this forest with private trails around the lodge and alight at the nearby river. Visit the on-site tea plantation and take a tour of the plantations for a unique view of one of Uganda’s largest industries.

The lodge has a large wooden veranda where you can relax and enjoy beautiful scenic views of Bwindi.

You can also go for a walk on the separate viewing deck and take a closer look at this dense jungle, which is the home to gorillas, chimpanzees and countless birds.

The restaurant at Engagi Lodge overlooks over the canopy and offers a warm and relaxed atmosphere, where you can relax with a choice of delicious 3-course meals.

The in-house cooks are well trained in the capital Kampala and are available on request to prepare your special nutritional diet.

You will discover the absolute privacy of Engagi, since there are only eight huts that are regularly surrounded by trees and covered by dense vegetation.

Each cottage is elegantly furnished, spacious and has a double bed or two single beds. Each cottage has a private bathroom with hot water.

The lodge’s power is provided by solar energy to minimize environmental impact while hot water is provided by wood-fired boilers.

Head out to your private verandah in the morning to admire the beautiful scenery with a coffee or locally made tea.
