Overview
Trekking rare and endangered mountain gorillas is a bucket-list activity for many nature lovers and Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge in Uganda has effortless entrance to at least six gorilla families who inhabit in a nearby Bwindi tightly packed National Park. Constructed as a protection project between the Nkuringo community, the African Wildlife Foundation and the Uganda Safari Company, Clouds’ objective is to maintain the long-term security of the gorillas. Dressed in natural stone, featuring tranquil forest and Virunga volcanoes which can be viewed from the lodge’s large windows. The lodge has a comfortable, relaxed feel with airy en-suite bathrooms, fireplaces, a bar and welcoming staff, which includes private butlers. In addition to seeing our closest living lineages, there is plenty else to see and do at Clouds. You can go birding with guides deep into Bwindi, take a walk through Buniga, forest and meet up members of the Batwa society of Sanuriro. Experience a local church service or visit a school, play football against a community team on a pitch named ‘On Top of the World’ or just settle down with a massage in the Okuruhuuka Spa and personal dinner in an overwhelming location. All guests must be 15 or older to participate in gorilla trekking but there are numerous age-appropriate activities such as dancing, drumming, art, treasures hunts and interactive games with village children in order to keep your little ones entertained during the day.

At Clouds, the mountain gorillas and the extraordinary beauty of Bwindi impassable National Park are allowed to take center stage. Double Cottage
There are six suites with double beds and roomy en-suite bathrooms with double vanities and walk-in showers. All rooms are contented and warm with fireplaces to charge off the cool evening mist. There are two family suites at Clouds that can sleep two adults and two children.
