Chundukwa River Lodge is situated on the banks of the Zambezi River, close to the busy town of Livingstone in Zambia. This tranquil river lodge has excellent proximity to the mighty Victoria Falls but is far enough away from the hustle and bustle to provide you with a peaceful retreat. Nestled in lush riverine vegetation, five secluded thatched suites boast uninterrupted views across the river. Built on wooden stilts and named after gorgeous local birds, the suites are romantic and luxurious, a perfect retreat for honeymooners and couples.

The lounge and dining area are worth a special mention for their inviting deck and stunning view. There is a rock-clad plunge pool where you can sip sundowners and watch the day come to a beautiful end. The stables have over 20 experienced and well-trained horses available for outrides among lagoons and Chundukwa’s stunning scenery: exploring on horseback is a completely different experience to being on foot or in a vehicle. Apart from this, Chundukwa River Lodge is owner-run and service orientated, specializing in one-on-one interactions on a classic sunset cruise, cultural community tours, birding trips, horse trails in addition to trips to Victoria Falls. Chundu Cottage is accessible for small groups or people traveling together in large groups.

Named after different birds found at the location, the Bee-Eater, Honeyguide, Francolin, Jacana and Kingfisher rooms have huge windows with bamboo blinds, strengthening the natural charm of this beautiful lodge. All rooms have a private in-room washroom as well.
