Chiawa Camp

Overview

Chiawa Camp is situated on the banks of the Zambezi River, in the heart of the Lower Zambezi National Park. The tented camp is under the trees of a forest of mahogany and enjoys amazing views over the Zambezi River Valley. You can set out on day and night game drives or guided walks to see lions, leopards, and buffaloes, and to outlook elephants and hippos, board on river cruises. Anglers have chance to practice the joy of catching well-known tiger fish. On the other hand, you can also relax on the deck of your tent or in the camp’s observation deck to scrutinize the wildlife. Chiawa has an incredible location, where you can enjoy kayaking along the Zambezi’s easy-going canals. Your guide will paddle you along as you take pleasure in watching elephants, water monitors, energetic monkeys and a never-ending parade of birds go about life on the riverbank. Rooms

Superior Tent

Chiawa Camp has nine roomy safari tents, positioned on grand timber decks in the company of outsized viewing terraces. Every tent has a king sized bed and an attached bathroom with double vanities, indoor and outdoor hot showers, and a claw footbath. The design of the camp is based on the camp owner’s bush home, and the six Standard Tents offer privacy, comfort and attention to feature views of the Zambezi River. The two Superior Tents are also built on raised timber platforms, but propose views of the dry Chowe floodplain which is commonly visited by animals. Positioned in a secretive area of the camp, the outsized Honeymoon Tent is an airy tent located above the Zambezi River and floodplain to offer powerful views of the landscape.
