Overview

The Bateleur Camp is located in the cool shade of a forest Western Mara West, on the edge of the endless plains of the Masai Mara.

Its location is so extraordinary and breathtaking that it was used for the iconic final scenes of the movie Out of Africa.

Eighteen opulent and attractive tented suites offer the best view of the great scenery. The public areas of the campsite are comfortable, spacious and luxurious, with the large cool veranda to the sparkling crystal clear pool.

The discrete, attentive service of a personal butler is itself a treat to enjoy. Bateleur Camp offers an authentic African safari experience with modern design elements that you can think of.

You can check out the Big 5 games all year round and the remarkable Great Migration which is the best experience you can have, especially in the early morning and or in the late afternoon drives.

The guided bush walks provide an intimate and close portrait of the land as the enlightened and illuminated. The night also reveals the rich nightlife of Mara.

We strongly recommend a hot air balloon ride to the view this amazing landscape from a height which can be glorious to view in the early morning.

The central living room is furnished in a classic style with modern decorative elements which offers great comfort and luxury.

Enjoy the magnificent view of the Masai Mara from the spacious veranda or relax in the cozy lounge, which offers a fascinating cozy fireplace which is something to look forward to in the cool winter months.

During the summer months, you can take a refreshing swim in the pool and treat yourself on a poolside lounger, followed by your butler to serve you delicious drinks and cocktails. All spa treatments are also offered in comfort your suite.

Dining

Bateleur Camp serves delicious Pan-African specialties and cuisine in the elegant dining room or you can enjoy the spacious veranda with the beautiful views of the plains.

One of the most pleasant traditions of the place is to stop at a sunset viewing point during afternoon game viewing drive. On request, the staff can also prepare romantic candle-light dinners in an open space in the clearing under the stars or a rich breakfast at a scenic setting spot for you to admire the view while you dine.

The 18 attractive tented suites offer a perfect combination of romantic canvas and glossy wood floors, with spacious bathrooms and beautiful views of the private decks. The refined palette of muted gold and natural tones. Combined with a rich texture, it creates an elegant and a peaceful retreat.
