  1. Mount Kilimanjaro

One of the most famous tourist attraction sites in Tanzania is Mount Kilimanjaro. Unlike all the other parks located in northern Tanzania, this park is not only famous for its expansive wildlife but also because it is home to the highest mountain peak of Africa. This majestic snowcapped mountain is a beauty to behold. This World Heritage Site came into existence over one million year ago due to a volcanic eruption along the Rift Valley. The slopes of this mountain are home to monkeys, elephants, leopards and elands to name a few. It is over here that bird watchers will find numerous birds in abundance.

  1. Zanzibar Beaches

Zanzibar archipelago is made up of the islands of Pemba and Zanzibar. Also commonly known as Unguja, Zanzibar Beaches are some of the most exquisite ones found in Africa. The soft powder white sands and crystal clear blue waters dotted with colorful traditional boats make it one of the most beautiful destinations on earth. Situated in the heart of Zanzibar is Stone Town featuring old Arabian townhouses, tapered alleyways and a hustling city port.

  1. Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Sandwiched between Serengeti and Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Conservation Area is one of Tanzania’s most famous wildlife viewing regions. The popular volcanic Ngorongoro Crater is also located over here. This huge crater is also the permanent supply of water for the animals that dwell here. Lake Migadi is a popular attraction at Ngorongoro Conservation Area as flocks of flamingoes can be regularly seen around it.

  1. Serengeti National Park          

Serengeti National Park is a huge treeless plain which has millions of animals looking for fresh grasslands. Known to be the largest park situated in Tanzania, it attracts thousands of travel enthusiasts every year. Herds of lions, hyena, antelope, jackal and beat eared foxes can be seen regularly at Serengeti National Park. Approximately five hundred species of birds have also been discovered at Serengeti.
