Mana Pools National Park is a renowned World Heritage Site situated in Zimbabwe, providing it with a protected status and preserving it as a magnificent wildlife destination. Its name, Mana Pools, originates from the four permanent pools which form in the twisty Zambezi River. The word ‘Mana’ is derived from the local Shona word used for ‘four’.

This area is swarming with wildlife particularly during the months of June right to October. This park is a popular attraction for canoe trails and walking safari lovers. It is regarded as an adventure safari destination and is definitely not for the faint-hearted.

Mana Pools is also famously known for its wealth and huge gorgeous trees providing tourists with shade while making the path ideal for walking. The ‘pools’, for which this park is famed, provide permanent water all year round, attracting a vast variety of wildlife, which includes large predators mostly.

Close encounters with mammals are a part of safaris. The best method to explore this bravura park is either on foot or by using a canoe down the breathtaking Zambezi River. The best time to visit the park is during May and October; nevertheless, temperatures can be high towards the later part of October.
