Garden Route

Garden Route

The Garden Route comprises of one of the most pristine stretches of beaches. Majestic mountains crowd close to the coastline which has been peppered with brightly colored wildflowers which are a delight to the eyes. Laying between beautiful Heidelberg and the regal Storms River, the Garden Route runs parallel to the shoreline which features mountains, lakes, golden beaches and indigenous forests.

Winding trails are followed closely by hikers, as these forests invite long, calm drives and the rivers entice tourists for swimming, boating, and fishing. A wide array of activities are available for travelers to choose from. This includes abseiling, fishing and scuba diving to name a few. Breathtaking scenery and the pleasant weather make for a memorable experience when you visit the Garden Route.

An important geological feature of the Garden Route is the Cango Caves. These are a series of caverns and chambers, naturally developed through limestone accumulation. These caves are regarded as the most visited sites of Africa.
